Military & Family Programs

The Military & Family Programs area continues to serve local first responders, at-risk youth, those suffering from addictions, and military veterans and their families. We passionately serve these participants as they journey through recovery programs, providing professional outdoor therapy programs . We could not do this work without strong partnerships with Wounded Warrior Project, Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, and Indiana National Guard.

36officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department took part in therapeutic and training programs

This year we continued to support the Survivor Transition and Resilience Retreat (STARR), sponsored through Indiana National Guard Survivor Outreach Services. This weekend program provides support to families who have lost someone to war. We are honored to be chosen as a site for this important program.

We also launched several new programs, included partnering with the Indiana Center for Recovery, in Bloomington, Indiana, to provide 19 sessions of therapeutic recreation activities for people in recovery from addiction.

We are also excited to continue our partnership with the Department of Children’s Services and Morgan County Probation through the receipt of a Community-Based Programs Grant ($140k) for the Project Wolf Program, which serves youth on probation and their families. This grant will fund six different cohorts of participants over  the next two years.
